Onwards to Victory

Good Evening Everyone,  Well the paints have finally come out of storage and my someone-else-painted Space Marine Primaris models have now begun their slow conversion from Dark Angels on night world operations into the 4th Company Coi'ti Castellans.  After waiting in vain for more paints to arrive at my local wargame and hobby supplier MIB  Models (http://www.mibmodels.co.uk/) obviously thanks to Games Workshop paints popularity, I decided to bite the bullet and crack on with the Vallejo paints already in my possession. Therefore,  with 1 coat of Off-White paint added before the almost nightly lockdown rowing machine exertions and 1 coat of paint added afterwards, I have been amazed at the models conversion from brooding night time spectres into poor imitations of Tenebrae's wonderful paint scheme. However, like all things, I just need to keep practicing and I must admit that I am loving the 40k-ness of the new scheme compared to the old which I think has breathed new life into

I’m now 100% certain there will be a band called Tenebrae that I’m not aware of.   So, first things first, a little about me and my hobby journey. I started playing at the dawn of 3 rd edition when a demo game by Games Workshop at a local science show introduced me to the starter set and the wonderful world of scary post-humans and even scarier evil elves in space. My friend was stoked on the Marines, so I ended up playing as Dark Eldar a lot that weekend. And losing a lot too. I don’t remember that starter being terribly well balanced

Good Evening Everyone, In a further attempt to inspire my (slightly stalled) painting efforts, I have assembled my Primaris Space Marines (not including the new Indomitus Marines) to review their existing paint scheme (courtesy of a Firestorm Games Bring & Buy Sale in 2019) and how it can be modified to match the Castle Gamers Committee Approved (TM pending) paint scheme 😀. Our glorious Wargaming Overlords (Games Workshop) decided that 2020's COVID-19 Crisis was the perfect opportunity to cheer up wargamers everywhere by announcing and releasing the 9th edition of everyone's favourite Sci-Fi Grim Dark wargame - Warhammer 40,000 (40K to you and I).  Typically, the new edition was announced shortly after I had purchased a large number of the 8th edition rulebooks, Chapter Approved books, Codexes and Psychic Awakening books (exactly what happened when I tried to get into 7th edition haha) meaning that I unfortunately did not actually have any games of 7th and 8th editions before the new editions arrived... oh well - I'll learn one day... 😩 However, with many thousands and thousands of points of 40K models from Space Marines, Eldar, Harlequins, Imperial Knights, Chaos Space Marines, Imperial Guardsmen, Sisters of

Following 17 months of forgetting to remember to remember that I was to post regular updates on my many, many wargaming projects (please see point 3 in my original post 😉) I decided to invite a friend to help. Can I therefore please introduce our new Author, Tenebrae , who has kindly / foolishly agreed to help motivate me post more regularly / at all 😀 Here's to new beginnings!
